PIO Cigars to Re-Release Classic Blend as 1996 Series

PIO Cigars is set to release a new line called 1996 Series in the sizes Robusto (6 x 50), Churchill (7 x 48), Toro (6 x 52), Torpedo (6 x 52) and Toro Extra (6 x 54). The company stated in a press release that the 1996 Series is being released as part of their 20th Anniversary celebration and resembles the PIO Classic, a line “which until today and since its creation in 1996, was only being sold at very few, select cigar shops.”

The line features the “same blend, aroma, and taste of the last 20 years but rightfully decorated with the commemorative band and the label name “PIO 1996 Series” previously released for our 10 year anniversary in 2006.”

Rolled in Nicaragua, the blend is comprised of Ecuadorian Maduro binder and wrapper and filler tobaccos from Nicaragua, Mexico and the Dom. Rep.
