One of the traditionally most coveted spots at InterTabac is the Oliva Cigar Booth. During the 3 days of the fair a lot of professionals and enthusiasts could be spotted either enjoying a beer or a coffee with some of the company’s cigars or giving a makeover to the look in a “barber corner”.
“Our idea is always to bring something special to improve the experience at our booth. Last year we had a Taylor where the customers could make their own personalized jackets and this year, we have o barber for those who would like to take a special facial care at the fair” says Fred Vandermarliere, owner of Oliva.
But of course, Oliva was also presenting some new releases at the booth. The first release is the new Oliva Serie V Melanio Edición Año 2024. The new limited edition is a Gran Toro (5 ½ by 60) with Ecuadorian Wrapper and Nicaraguan binder and filler. The cigar comes with an extra red band in boxes of 10 units.
What sets aside this release is a QR Code where the customer can scan and go to playlist created by the French Pianist Paul Montag specially for this cigar. “With this new feature I hope our customers not only enjoy the art of the cigar, but also enjoy the art of the music created by this fantastic musician while smoking them” adds Vandermarliere.
Other highlight presented by Oliva is the new Elie Bleu humidor called Las Mesitas. This humidor is the second release in a trilogy that presented the first one last year that was called Tabolisa Uno. Las Mesitas pays tribute to Oliva’s processing tobacco hub in Nicaragua opened in 2022. This facility processes and ferments the finest tobacco leaves, ensuring superior quality through meticulous sorting and fermentation methods.
This is a numbered series of 124 humidors with 124 cigars. The humidors come with a set of Cigars Cutters, Lighters and Ashtrays also designed by Elie Bleu.
