Elie Bleu adds to their Casa Cubana Line

Elie Bleu launched a few new humidors at this year’s InterTabac. Two of them are part of their Casa Cubana line. The humidors which replicate existing Cuban buildings are produced in limited numbers, one is a miniature version of a palace in Cienfuegos holding 110 cigars.

“It was a well-known building built in the early 20^th century, and it kind of looks like an Arabic Andalusian palace,” Laurent Fuchs, CEO of Elie Bleu, says. “We started making these in 2015 and we’ve done almost ten different ones now.”

This particular humidor was made in 199 copies. The same amount as the other one, Le Parisien.

“This is a smaller size, for 75 cigars, and the idea is a kind of Parisien café in Cuba. We’ve already done one, but that was set in daytime. This one is set at night.”

In addition to these, they brought a third humidor, featuring the Cuban flag and holding 110 cigars.

“Even though a lot has changed, the cigar is still very much linked to Cuban culture, after all.”

Last but not least, they’ve made a humidor honoring The Year of the Horse, for either 250 or 110 cigars, and a collaborative humidor for Arturo Fuente’s Angel’s Share holding 200 cigars. The latter comes with cigars. 

“We’ve had a collaboration with Arturo Fuente for a few years now, and it’s important to us.” Last but not least, they’ve done accessories, like lighters, cutters and leather cases, linked to the new designs.
