The Dutch cigar importer/distributer Longfiller Company hosted the Noche de Nicaragua, in cooperation with Societé Nobel, Joya de Nicaragua and La Sagrada Familia Cigars. La Noche de Nicaragua celebrated some of the good things Nicaragua has to offer, from chocolate to coffee, from rum to cigars and of course traditional Nicaraguan music.
The Nicaraguan Ambassador in the Netherlands, Mr Carlos Arguello, was there and Longfiller Company owner Sasja van Horssen presented him a cheque for the amount of $22,538,60. Last year Van Horssen started PRONICA, a charity which supports “Fe Y Alegria”, a schooling project for the poorest children in Estelí, Nicaragua by donating $0.10 for each Nicaraguan cigar his company sells.
