GRAND OPENING OF THE FIRST HABANOS SPECIALIST STORE IN VIETNAM

A new era of Cuban cigar culture integration in Vietnam began on 11 November with grand opening of the first official Habanos Specialist store located in the center of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

The store is a winning combination of two leading companies in the world: Diageo and Habanos. The opening ceremony included the presence of Habanos SA Co-President Sr. Inocente Nuñez Blanco; Habanos SA Vice President Commercial Sr. Leopoldo Cintta Gonzalez; The Pacific Cigar Company Area Director Sr. Gonzalo Alvarez Elola; Regional Director Thailand & CLMV Mr. Joe P. Thawilvejjakul; Consul General of the Republic of Cuba in Ho Chi Minh City: Mrs. Indira Lopez Arguelles and many famous Vietnamese business people and celebrities.

“We think this is the right time to bring many unique products in Cuba and introduce them to Vietnamese consumers,” said Mr. Inocente Nunez Blanco, regarding the decision to open a showroom to display and sell products associated with Cuban culture. “Vietnam and Cuba not only have a long-lasting friendships and beautiful memories passing through the years but now, we also want to share the best experience of Cuban culture. ”

Ms. Indira Lopez Arguelles also expressed her hope that the opening of this first store will further strengthen the trade relations between the two countries.
