Grand Opening of the first Habanos Specialist Store in Hanoi

On 8 January, the first Habanos Specialist store in Hanoi, Vietnam was officially opened. Ms. Lianys Torres Rivera, Cuban Ambassador in Vietnam, Do Thang Hai, Deputy Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Dag Holmboe, Pacific Cigar Company CEO, and business and media VIPs attended the opening event and had the opportunity to experience the art of pairing premium whisky and Cuban cigars.

This is the first Habanos Specialist store in Hanoi, and the second store in Vietnam introduced by exclusive distributor in Golden Phoenix Vietnam Co.Ltd. after launching Vietnam’s first Habanos Specialist store in Ho Chi Minh City in late 2019.

“After more than seventy years of companionship and development, Cuban culture has also become a very familiar image for Vietnamese people: palm trees, antique cars sparkling in the sun, and of course dance, music and hospitality. The opening of the Habanos Specialist store at 02 Co Tan street, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi is a gift to cigar aficionados in Hanoi,” said Van Thu Thuy, General Director or Golden Phoenix Vietnam Co. Talking about the decision to open a showroom to display and sell specialties associated with Cuban culture, Mr. Dag Holmboe, CEO of Pacific Cigar Company, said “We think this is the right time to bring more unique products to Vietnam which represent the culture of Cuba.
