Habanos, S.A. Unveils the Trinidad Vigía Reserva Cosecha 2022

On September 19, 2026, at the Petit Palais of the Fairmont Montreux Palace, Habanos S.A. unveiled the Trinidad Vigía Reserva Cosecha 2022 in a world premiere, marking the celebrated Cuban brand's first entry into the Reserva segment. The event, organized with Intertabak AG (exclusive distributor for Switzerland and Liechtenstein), brought together over 300 guests, including collectors, business partners, and trade journalists.

Born in 1969 as a production reserved for state gifts, Trinidad now takes a new step forward: the chosen vitola is the Torres (commercial name Vigía), the format with the largest ring gauge in the brand's regular portfolio (54 x 110 mm). The capa, tripa, and capote leaves, all from the 2022 harvest in Vuelta Abajo, underwent a supplementary aging process of at least three years.

Production is limited to 5,000 individually numbered boxes of 20 cigars and 5,000 gift cases of 3 cigars. Beyond the double band featuring the R logo and the word Reserva, a third band at the foot stands out, fitted with NFC technology that lets smokers verify a cigar's authenticity via smartphone.

Presented by Tony Hoevenaars, Managing Director of Intertabak AG, the evening featured a pairing with The Dalmore King Alexander III Scotch Whisky, while the Trinidad Esmeralda was paired with Henri Giraud PR 90-20 Champagne.
