Festival Calendar: America’s Biggest Cigar Events in 2019

Grab a pen, find your datebook and fire up a cigar because the first details for America’s biggest cigar events of 2019 are already in!

December 8 – Big AZ Cigar Fest (Scottsdale, Arizona)

The inaugural Big AZ Cigar Fest will take place on Saturday, December 8, 2018, from noon until 5 pm at the Phoenix Rising FC Soccer Complex. Each General Admission attendee receives an official festival bag loaded with 10 premium cigars, a commemorative Big AZ Cigar Fest beer glass, a meal ticket, an alcoholic beverage ticket (craft beer, wine or spirit), and more. There will be dozens of premium cigar manufacturers offering special festival deals, plenty of craft beer, wine and spirits, good food, and music.

January 18 – Nebraska Cigar Festival (Lincoln, Nebraska)

The 12th annual Nebraska Cigar Festival will be held at the Pla Mor Ballroom. Admission includes 10 premium cigars, a beverage ticket, and a BBQ, with smoking permitted indoors for the event. February 16 – The Great Smoke (West Palm Beach, Florida)

This year’s Great Smoke offers more than ever before. Celebrating its 13th year, The Great Smoke continues to be “the most star-studded collection of cigar personalities in the country.” The festival has expanded beyond its original one-day platform to a full-fledged, three-day extravaganza of cigars, offering spirits, dinner, music, and more. Festivities start Friday with a private pre-event dinner and party at Smoke Inn. The main event, held at South Florida Fair Grounds on Saturday, includes a free afterparty; a Sunday morning brunch closes the weekend. Each attendant receives a commemorative tote bag filled with 45 cigars. A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Kids’ Cancer Foundation. Ticket prices are yet to be announced. Lodging available. February – Cigar Dave Alpha Fest (Tampa, Florida)**

Presented by Diamond Crown Cigars, the Cigar Dave Alpha Fest is a unique event that will take place on the Flight Line at Sheltair Aviation. It is hosted by radio personality Cigar Dave from the Cigar Dave Show. Each patron receives cigars, a full lunch buffet with dessert, two drink tickets, craft beer, and whiskey sampling. VIP suites are available. The private suites seat eight with “living room” seating, an in-suite bar, hors d’oeuvres and appetizers, a full box of cigars, and a private meet-and-greet with Cigar Dave. March – StogieFest (Jacksonville, Florida)**

Hosted by Aromas Cigar & Lounge, the eighth annual StogieFest is dubbed “The largest annual cigar and Tobacannia gathering in North Florida.” A three-day event with more than 20 cigar manufacturers, multiple high-end liquor distillers, and radio stations. Ticket holders enjoy plenty of cigars, spirits, craft beers, live music, Latin dancing, a bikini contest, Blackjack tournaments, roulette wheels, and corn-hole competitions. Extra perks for VIP ticket holders. The festival will take place at 4372 Southside Boulevard. Ticket prices are yet to be announced. April 4-8 – Smokeout 2019 (Las Vegas, Nevada)

This is the 20th anniversary of this five-day, not-for-profit event for “studs, bikers and leathermen” from all over the world. The itinerary includes a show, pool and cocktail parties, dinners, a cigar crawl, Scotch and cigar social, motorcycle run, poker party, T-shirt, and more. Hosted by the Alexis Park Resort and Villas. April 13 – Texas Cigar Festival (Texas)

Casa de Montecristo’s Texas Cigar Festival is one of the premier cigar events in the US. More than 35 cigar companies are expected to participate. Ticket holders receive an impressive gift bag with cigars; meet industry celebrities; and eat and drink to contentment. Both VIP and General Admission tickets available. VIP entrance includes early entry, private lounge with personal seat, late departure time, and bonus swag. Ticket prices are yet to be announced, but in previous years General Admission was USD 150 and VIP was USD 275. Lodging available.
