Cigar Friendly: The Saigon Cigar Club Re-Opens

The Saigon Cigar Club, host of the Cigar Smoking World Championship Saigon Qualifier in 2018, is now located on the prestigious Dong Khoi shopping street of District 1.

Hidden away in a remarkably well-preserved colonial building down “Art Arcade” alley, co-owners Timen Swijtink and Paul Nguyen have ensured The Saigon Cigar Club continues to cater to both Vietnamese and international members of the cigar community. The new venue features a fully-fledged Partners Club, a beautiful, one-of-a-kind humidor bar, and a well-maintained selection of cigars and accessories.

“We’ve been closed for a while, trying to find a suitable location to re-open in,” said Timen Swijtink. “We’re super happy to have found this spot, and share the space with Brothers, a boutique men’s salon and Koheis Bar, a cocktail and tapas bar, to provide a well-rounded lifestyle experience. It’s essentially three brands, in one location, providing one experience,” said Swijtink.

“The space is in a beautiful historical building, walking distance from the famous Saigon Opera House, and the Park Hyatt, Sheraton, Caravelle, and upcoming Four Seasons hotels.” Like its predecessor, the new venue is focused 100% on Cuban cigars and provides a wide assortment of cigars and accessories.
