Chateau Diadem’s Splendor

Chateau Diadem is a quite new cigar brand, created by Emily Sahakian and Thierry Farah, with a very striking and modern image. Made in the Dominican Republic, in their own factory, they return to Intertabac to present the fruit of their collaboration with a great master of tobacco, Eladio Díaz.

Chateau Diadem Splendor is a robusto extra size, 140 mm x 52, created by Eladio Díaz for the brand. Like many of Eladio’s blends, the cigar has five different Dominican leaves in the filler, with a binder from Mexico and a corojo wrapper grown in the Dominican Republic. It is a limited edition that will soon reach the markets.

In addition, Chateau Diadem presents a new half corona format, in cardboard boxes with four units, from the brand’s core line, which is the one that aficionados are responding to the best. With a bright and colourful finish, the packaging has the advantage of having a removable cover, with the brand image, which is where the health warnings are placed but which, once purchased, the consumer can throw away.

Javier Blanco Urgoiti is a Spanish journalist who is crazy about the processes surrounding tobacco that take place before its manufacturing in the cigar factory – in particular the secrets of tobacco cultivation. This is an area in which he tirelessly tries to educate himself. Javier started smoking and writing about cigars in 1998, initially for the Spanish magazines La boutique del fumador and La cava de cigarros, and later, as chief press officer at La Aurora, the oldest tobacco factory in the Dominican Republic. Now he writes for Cigar Journal as a correspondent in Spain.
