Chateau Diadem Launches Two New Cigars

After feedback from their customers, Chateau Diadem decided to expand their portfolio with a new line this year, the Chateau Diadem Alisio, named after a wind that blows through the Dominican Republic,

“We made it because people seemed to want something a bit lighter to smoke, and more affordable,” founder Emily Sahakian says. “Like our Conviction line, the filler is still Dominican and Nicaraguan, but the blend is different and the wrapper is Ecuador Corojo, instead of Ecuador 2000. It’s a mild to medium cigar, a bit more creamy with notes of butter, but still with some spices at the end, and it comes in three vitolas; Corona Gordo, Robusto and Toro.”

The second launch at the InterTabac, Emily describes as their baby.

“Midnight Wonder has taken us nearly three years to make,” she says. “Since we started this, we have wanted to use Connecticut Broadleaf. We tried and tried to use it as a wrapper, but we were never satisfied. Instead we ended up using it inside the cigar and this became Midnight Wonder. The Connecticut Broadleaf brought a lot more complexity and it’s a full body cigar.”
