Brun del Ré Launches Privado Line

At InterTabac Brun del Ré introduced a brand that founder Carlo Corazza started working on more than three years ago.

“It was a blend I did for myself and it was called Brun del Ré Privado,” he says. “It’s made with 100 percent Costa Rican, from our own farm, and the cigars have been aged for three years.”

The cigar comes in one size, a Grand Toro, and he describes it as a slow smoke.

“We did that on purpose,” he explains. “The draw is perfectly good, but we used a little bit more tobacco to slow it down, because there’s always this fast smoking going on. ”

The cigar is sold in boxes of ten, and it’s a limited edition.

“Only 1,000 boxes have been made,” he says.

Besides this, Corazza also brought a whole new set of accessories to the trade show, from cutters and lighters to a back pack.

“We have a cutter where you can choose your cut, and a lighter with a punch and a nubber, for instance,” he says. “And the back pack is cool as it is, but for the next one, I would like to add a humidor on the side where the pocket is now.”
