Toreo Aiming for New Markets and Heads for the PCA

Frank Emmer and Zafi Barzilay brought the full Toreo portfolio to Dortmund, where the news was less about the cigars than about where they are going.

The brand was established in 2000 and is run from Cyprus House of Tobacco. It currently sells in more than 10 markets and will shortly add Kenya, Angola and Armenia, expanding further.

Its six lines are made across three factories: three with Plasencia, two with Quesada and one with Omar Ortiz.

The United States is next. Toreo will take a booth at the next PCA trade show in Las Vegas with the aim of building the American market, and plans to attend Puro Sabor in Nicaragua as a Friend of the Chamber. The company is also diversifying beyond handmade cigars, into pipe tobacco and machine-made cigars.
