The New Living Room Of Thomas Supply Trade Cigars | Cigar friendly: Laurel, MD

As Victor and Christina Thomas searched for office space for their businesses, they realized that a place where their clients could enjoy cigars while they transacted business would be ideal. With this in mind, a 100-year old home on the historic Main Street business district in Laurel, MD became the place they set their sites on.

In September 2018, Thomas Supply Trade LLC expanded and created Thomas Supply Trade Cigars, all doing business from under the same roof. First opening the retail area and then the classy and classic lounge in December of 2018, “The Living Room” (as it’s affectionately referred to by regulars) is now a place to relax, work and socialize on the busy town center.

The walls in the retail area are lined with display humidors full of a wide variety of premium cigars. The artwork on display is not there to just to add to the charm and decor, but to educate and tell a story, as they are large photos showing the lifecycle of a cigar from seed to shelf.

A lounge for networking and relaxing

The lounge or “Living Room” is situated for whatever your needs are for that visit. To one side are clusters of leather chairs arranged in circles to encourage dialogue and networking; down the middle of the room and throughout the back are tall, bar-like tables for standing or sitting; while the remaining space is made up of connected chairs ideal for groups. The room is outfitted with two large flat-screen TV, fireplaces, and a kitchenette for coffee and other beverages. Adjacent to the lounge lies a non-smoking bar/drink prep area that’s closed off for business and guests that don’t partake in cigars to set up shop or relax.

Adding to their efforts to make everyone feel comfortable and included, when newcomers or new cigar enthusiast visit and partake, they are gifted a copy of Humidor Notes ™, a small dossier created by one of the lounge regulars.

Memberships are available for $250 per year and include a humidified locker on site, a 10% discount and a special gift in their locker each month. Future plans for the brick and mortar include a full-fledged business center for the second floor and a multitude of events in their large and private parking lot.
