Ramón Allones Private Stock 230 Launched in UK

Hunters & Frankau has launched the long awaited and much anticipated Ramón Allones Private Stock 230. Celebrating H&F’s 230th Anniversary, this UK Regional Edition has been unavoidably delayed from 2020, until now.

Just 3,600 numbered Cabinet Nature boxes of 25 have been made, 90,000 cigars in total, and all were rolled at the world famous Partagás factory in Havana, Cuba.

The cigar measures 6 3⁄4” (170mm) x 50 ring gauge and is known as a Partagás 16 in the factories of Cuba. It is a rare size only seen in limited production releases such as the renowned Por Larrañaga Magnifico, the UK’s 2007 Habanos Regional Edition

Established in 1837, Ramón Allones is the second oldest Havana brand still making cigars today and between 1911 and 1927 was owned by UK cigar importers John Hunter Morris and Elkan Limited, an antecedent to Hunters & Frankau. An association that H&F remains immensely proud of to this day.

Private Stock was originally the name of a popular cigar in the Ramón Allones range during its UK ownership and, although discontinued over fifty years ago, it has provided inspiration for this celebratory cigar.

The yellow ribbon across the top row of cigars is modelled on the original presentation and the black and white band of the Private Stock 230 is a recreation of those used by Ramón Allones during the height of the Private Stock’s popularity. However, the Private Stock 230 also bears the size name on it, making it unique.

The Private Stock 230 was seen for the first time as part of the Hunters & Frankau House Reserve Series 1790 Collection No.2.

These cigars are now available in La Casa del Habanos, Havana Cigar Specialists and selected hospitality venues, exclusively in the UK.
