The 17th of August was a special day for The Pacific Cigar Company Ltd. Not only did the official Habanos S.A. distributor for the Asia-Pacific region re-open the Pacific Cigar Divan after some renovation and expansion works, but they also officially launched a very special cigar, the Punch Sir David.
Punch Sir David
The Punch Sir David cigar is an Exclusivo Hong Kong tribute cigar created by Habanos as an homage to Pacific Cigar Company’s Founder and Chairman, Sir David Tang who passed away in 2017.
“We decided to stay true to his favorite cigar, the Punch Double Corona,” said Norio Hattori, Pacific Cigar Company’s Regional Marketing Director. “The Sir David cigar is a Paco format (49×180) and will only be available in cabinet format of 50 cigars. Truly, a very unique cigar!”
Only 1200 cabinets of the Punch Sir David Exclusivo Hong Kong have been produced which will be available in Asia-Pacific retail outlets. The Sir David Exclusivo Hong Kong cigar is in addition to Pacific Cigar Company’s Regional Edition releases for 2018.
Pacific Cigar Divan
“Located in Central Hong Kong, The Pacific Cigar Divan now features to a larger lounge area, with a private room, and a walk-in humidor complete with lockers,” said Hattori. “The private room offers a library of some of Sir David’s personal books, to be enjoyed at the lounge.” In partnership with Fine Vintage, the Edinburgh Whisky Club opened next door to The Pacific Divan and is a bar dedicated to fine and rare Whiskeys, offering more than 100 selected whiskeys.
