Oliva Lounge Opening: Whisky & Cigar Salon in Gronau

The evening of 15th of March 2024 was all about the Oliva brand: Han Hilderink (whisky & cigar salon) and Fred Vandermarliere (CEO VCF) opened the first Oliva Lounge not only in Germany, but also in mainland Europe, with fantastic Oliva cigars together with 75 guests. Visitors can now be inspired by a special Oliva brand world in the whisky & cigar salon Gronau (Westf.), and an exclusive cigar is now also available at this Oliva Lounge. 

Han Hilderink’s personal invitation was accepted by 75 guests, who gathered in anticipation of the cigar selection to listen to the opening words of Fred Vandermarliere and Han Hilderink. 

“It was and is a great honor for me to have Oliva Cigars join the Vandermarliere Cigar Family. We have invested a lot to ensure the future quality of our Oliva cigars. Celebrating an evening like tonight with you, the cigar enthusiasts, here in the new Oliva Lounge in the whisky & cigar salon is a special pleasure!” said Fred Vandermarliere. 

In a festive atmosphere, the two gentlemen then signed the certificate appointing whisky & cigar salon “First Oliva Lounge Europe”. After a delicious barbecue buffet, the guests were served a total of three longfillers, complemented by the Oliva Serie V Blend Señoritas. The first was the Oliva Serie G Special G, a 3.75 x 48 Perfecto with a genuine Cameroon wrapper. The highlight among the longfillers was the Oliva Exclusive Lounge Edition, which is now available exclusively at the Whisky & Cigar Salon Gronau. 

EXCLUSIVE LOUNGE EDITION
It is Oliva Serie V Melanio Maduro Toro (6 x 52), the filler and binder come from Nicaragua, the Maduro wrapper was grown in the lush San Andres Valley in Mexico. The name of the series goes back to Melanio Oliva, who cultivated tobacco in Cuba as early as 1886 and thus founded the Oliva tobacco dynasty. The Oliva Cigar Company’s most prestigious blend was named in his honor.  The exclusive Lounge cigar in Toro format is available from whisky & cigar salon in boxes of 10 for € 160.00 (€ 16.00 each). 

OLIVA-BRANDING AT WHISKY & CIGAR SALON
Oliva Lounge flags in white already get visitors in the mood for the upcoming brand experience outside. The shop window next to the main entrance as well as the interior glass doors are wrapped with the words “First Oliva Lounge Europe”. In the large cigar lounge, a large brass “Oliva Lounge” metal sign is mounted above the walk-in humidor, which is illuminated by two spotlights. The guest room is decorated with large-format Oliva designs on the walls, showing scenes from the curing barn, the tobacco fields and detailed shots of the Oliva Serie V and Oliva Serie V Melanio.
