Tasting notes: This small format starts off gently and creamy in the smoke with honey a scent. Then it becomes more flavorful; cedar and nut aromas, herbs, cappuccino. Toward the end, somewhat rough and hot. Medium+.
This Half Corona celebrated its world debut as part of the 225th anniversary of the British Habanos importers Hunters & Frankau in June 2015. The vitola was actually first rolled in 1907, and, in the 1920s and 1930s became a veritable sales success, mainly on the British market. Following that, it gradually almost completely disappeared until the year 2011, when H. Upmann reissued a Half Corona. It’s the shortest hand-rolled Habanos cigar that exists.
