Malaysia’s SmokeFest 2 To Feature Honduras’ Ferrera Cigars

Yesser Ferrera, a third-generation Honduran tobacco grower and cigar maker has commenced a month-long cigar rolling stint in Malaysia and will feature at Trinidad Cigars’ upcoming event SmokeFest 2 on Saturday 28 April at Hugo’s KL in the Ramada Suites Kuala Lumpur.

“Ferrera cigars are new to the market, however my family has been in the tobacco and cigar industry for three generations,” said Yesser Ferrera. The operation supplies various cigar factories, including Puros Indios, with tobacco, Ferrera tells me in a mix of Spanish and English. His uncle Oscar Orlando Ferrera presides over Tabacos San Jeronimo. As well as supplying tobacco, Ferrera cigars have previously created private blends for clients in Vietnam and Lebanon.

“SmokeFest 2 will feature Yesser Ferrera rolling cigars and offering custom-rolled cigars at a fantastic price,” said Hazely Harun, General Manager of Trinidad Group’s cigar division. “The aim of SmokeFest is to host a gathering of cigar smokers in the first half of the year, to complement our Evening With A Torcedor event in the second half of 2018. In 2017 we featured Santo Cardenas of Roberto Duran Cigars for our Evening With A Torcedor event.”
