Empire is one of two new high-end humidors introduced by french manufacturer Elie Bleu who previously designed the Cohiba 50 Aniversario humidor.
The workshops Maison Tournaire and the Solyfonte art foundry, two companies recognized for their know-how and excellence in gold and silver craftsmanship, worked on the Empire humidor for six months in total from design to final assembly.
The ornaments on the Empire humidors are replicas of historical pieces
dating back to Napoleon’s Empire. There are the Eagles of the Empire done in
traditional-style bronze patina. This humidor was produced using sapelli pommelé (Entandrophragma Cylindricum or sapele veneer wood) originating from Africa. This wood is extremely popular among architects and woodworkers for creating furniture.
This exceptional piece is available by order starting in the second half of
2016, for a price starting at 42,800 $. Eight copies of the humidor were created. Limited
