As the premium tobacco landscape shifts with FDA regulations, the IPCPR (International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers Association) felt the only way to stay ahead of legal & legislative challenges was to reposition 1) how they were perceived by legislatures by having a clear and concise name and 2) who they included in the fight for premium tobacco rights.
Going forward, the IPCPR will be known as the Premium Cigar Association (PCA). It is the hope of the PCA that the new name, logo, and direct messaging will put the association in a better position to advocate and serve on behalf of the industry.
The final stage of the rebranding is including a “consumer day” into the tradeshow, CigarCon. Taking place on the first Saturday of the 5-day show, this 1-day pass grants consumers access to the tradeshow floor, the elaborate manufacturer booths and getting some face-time with brand ambassadors and figureheads.
The PCA annual tradeshow for 2020 will take place at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada July 10-14, 2020.
