Habanos Colección Vintage Juan López Selección No.1

Habanos presents the ninth edition of its famous Colección Vintage exclusively for the Spanish market: a limited series of 2,000 numbered jars made of ceramic from Talavera de la Reina, a village in the region of Castilla La Mancha in the middle of Spain, known for being one of the cradle of ceramic art worldwide.

It’s the first time that Juan López joins the Colleción Vintage, since this brand has only been introduced in Spain in 2018. The vitola chosen for this edition is called Selección No.1, a galera vitola named Coronas Gordas (46 ring gauge and 143 mm length). The cigars were hand-rolled before 2016 and, since then, have been aged.

The jars, entirely hand-made and designed to keep nineteen cigars, are a replica of those made for the Partagás brand in the 1920s. This edition of the Colección Vintage can be found in Spanish tobacconists at a price of EUR 15,00 per cigar (EUR 285,00 for the jar of 19 Habanos).

The previous eight editions of Colección Vintage are:

  • Partagás 8-9-8,
  • Punch Punch Punch,
  • Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.1,
  • H. Upmann Magnum 46,
  • Trinidad Robusto Extra,
  • Romeo y Julieta Churchills,
  • El Rey del Mundo Choix Supreme and
  • Montecristo No.1.
