The Annual Cigar Smoker of the Year Awards return to the stage at Boisdale of Canary Wharf, on Sunday 3rd December. For the fifth time this unmissable event for cigar fans will celebrate iconic cigars, producers, writers, terraces and smokers. Following in the footsteps of last year’s winner Kelsey Grammer – the big question is: who will win The Zenith Watches Cigar Smoker of the Year 2017?
Since 2013, the celebrity guest list of attendees and winners has included Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Baroness Trumpington, Kelsey Grammer, Jonathan Ross, Burt Reynolds, Simon Le Bon and Charlie Sheen to name but a few and this year promises not to disappoint, with the guest list and nominations still to be revealed.
Each guest will receive on arrival one of each of the four cigars that have been nominated for Cigar of the Year 2017. The British canapé reception will feature the multi award winning English sparkling wine Jenkyn Place Vineyard, Brut, 2013 from Hampshire. The sumptuous dinner will comprise Hebridean shellfish accompanied by the outstanding Alpha Domus, The Wingwalker Viognier 2014, Hawkes Bay wine, New Zealand and the main course of grass fed dry aged Aberdeenshire fillet of beef “Wellington” will be perfectly complemented by The Chocolate Block 2015, Boekenhoutskloof, Swartland.
Bringing together cigar enthusiasts and celebrity cigar smokers, the illustrious evening will harness Boisdale’s uniquely eclectic style, hosted by Tom Parker Bowles with entertainment from Natasha Hamilton of Atomic Kitten and culminate with the Awards Ceremony followed by more cigars and Courvoisier VSOP Cognac on the heated cigar terrace.
