Premium Cigar Association (PCA) announces Christian Eiroa, president and founder of C.L.E. Cigar Company, has been elected to serve on the PCA Executive Committee. This comes after a recent election held in November 2023. Eiroa’s term will begin on March 25, 2024.  Â
“I am honored and proud to serve on this board,” said Eiroa. “I believe this is a historic period in time for our industry and the association and I look forward to serving and being a part of the executive committee.”
“Christian brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the board and his perspective as a manufacturer and factory owner will be invaluable as part of the leadership of the PCA Board,” said Scott Regina, president of the PCA Board of Directors.  Â
Scott Pearce, PCA executive director, said that Eiroa’s passion and innovative drive will ensure PCA continues to evolve to meet the needs of its membership. “Anybody who knows Christian knows he goes a million miles a minute. His forward thinking, entrepreneurial ideas will be invaluable as the PCA moves forward,” Pearce said.
Eiroa launched C.L.E. Cigar Company in 2012 to honor his family legacy in the tobacco industry. Since its inception, C.L.E. Cigar Company has created unique award-winning blends using a mix of traditional and ever-evolving technological methods. C.L.E. Cigar Company is the umbrella company for C.L.E. Cigars, Eiroa Cigars, and Asylum Cigars.Â
Eiroa is replacing Mike Conder, whose term as the Associate Liaison on the Executive Committee ends in 2024. Regina lauded the amount of time, energy, passion, and perspective Conder provided in his term, both as Associate Liaison, as well as the President of old Associate Member Advisory Board.Â
“I know I speak for many past presidents, with whom Mike served, but I want to thank Mike for the many years of tireless service to the PCA. He was integral to many of the legal, legislative, and overall organizational strategies that we have developed and deployed over the years. We are definitely better off because of his involvement.”Â
The current PCA Executive Committee is comprised of Scott Regina (President), Todd Naifeh (Vice President), Paul Groh (Treasurer), Mary Szarmach (Secretary), and Greg Zimmerman (Ex-Officio). The PCA Executive Committee (EC) is responsible for the overall leadership of the PCA Board. The EC guides the board on both the strategies and fiduciary responsibility to ensure the association has the financial means necessary to execute its mission of growing specialty tobacco retailing.Â
