Tasting notes: At the start, earthy, nutty and subtly sweet. Fine bitter tones and spice with woody aromas. During the course of the smoke the cigar becomes more aromatic and more multilayered, creamy and harmonious. Medium-bodied.
A classic, which, in the light of the fifth anniversary of Alejandro Robaina’s death this year, we wanted to recall. Over the years, the cigar has lost nothing of its finesse. On the contrary, it thrilled everyone one on our tasting panel. In our mind’s eye, Don Alejandro is still sitting in his reclining chair on the porch of his house and admires the splendor of the flowers in the garden … and is enjoying a good cigar. Alejandro Robaina was born in Alquízar, Cuba, in 1921 and died on April 17, 2010, in his house in San Luis in Pinar del Rio at the age of 91.
