The series of events commenced on Friday, June 9th at the renowned Carmel Cigar Vault, located in the charming town of Carmel, NY. The evening was dedicated to honoring the influential figure in the cigar world, Detra Denise, and featured the inauguration of The SOTL Global Movement Cigar Speakeasy, hosted by Detra herself. The lounge welcomed cigar enthusiasts from all backgrounds, offering a space to explore Detra’s Story cigars while engaging with a diverse group of fascinating individuals. The delightful ambiance was enhanced by the enchanting melodies performed by Detra and her talented band.

On Saturday, June 10th, the Metropolitan Pavilion became the epicenter of a unique collaboration between the SOTL Global Movement and the Barclay Rex Cigar Club during the NY Rum Festival. This extraordinary event brought together the best of both worlds – rum and cigars. Attendees indulged their taste buds with a wide array of rums from around the globe while engaging in insightful discussions about the cigar industry with passionate rum enthusiasts.

Concluding the cigar tour on Sunday, June 11th, the iconic Barclay Rex Cigar Club, with its remarkable legacy dating back to 1910, became a haven for aficionados and aficionadas in the NY area. Collaborating with the SOTL Global Movement and Romy & Fouad Kashouty from Hiram and Solomon Cigars, this event was an elegant celebration of the art of cigar smoking and camaraderie. From 3pm to 6pm, guests mingled with industry luminaries including Romy, Fouad, Vanessa Nastri (owner of Barclay Rex), Lisa Sigler from the Premium Cigar Association, musical artist P La Cangri from “Boss of the Block Cigars by Graycliff,” and Elisabeth Santos from Noble Cigars. Amidst the luxurious atmosphere, attendees savored the finest cigars that the NY cigar world had to offer along with amazing rums by Barcelo USA.
