Tabadom inaugurates a Learning Center and a Softball Field

Tabadom Holding, Inc., a producer of handmade cigars for different brands and premium brands, is committed to its people and the communities they are part of. The company officially inaugurated Tabadom’s Learning Center (Centro de Enseñanza Tabadom) and a Softball Field.

The Centro de Enseñanza Tabadom is located next to the company premises in Villa Gonzalez (Santiago) and will, in a first phase, offer basic, intermediate, and advanced extracurricular English lessons to the employees’ children ranging between 6 and 14 years of age. The complimentary English classes will be conducted from Monday to Thursday by professional English teachers and will help the children to start learning and/or enhancing their English skills. In a second phase, the Centro de Enseñanza Tabadom will gradually extend its offer to include other activities to complement the children’s education, thus allowing them to get access to more opportunities in the future. At the same time, Tabadom Holding, Inc. is officially opening its own Softball Field, also located on the local premises, enabling Tabadom’s Softball Team to train on a regular basis and host games with other teams of the region.

“It is a very touching moment for us, and I am very pleased to offer these new benefits to our over 1’700 employees here in Santiago,” says Hamlet Espinal, General Manager of Tabadom Holding, Inc. “I am convinced that our employees will appreciate the services of the Centro de Enseñanza Tabadom and that the extracurricular classes and the experiences will support their children’s education, providing them with more opportunities for the future. Furthermore, I am extremely happy, that our softball team, el “Equipo Tabadom”, now have their own field on site, allowing them to further develop their passion for one of our country’s most practiced sports.”

Beat Hauenstein, CEO of Oettinger Davidoff AG, comments: “We are very pleased that our colleagues at Tabadom Holding, Inc., who oversee our production of handmade premium cigars in the Dominican Republic since 1991, share our social commitment and responsibility towards employees and communities. The opening of Tabadom’s Learning Center is an investment in the future, and I am confident that it will make a difference in the employees’ lives.”
