S.T.Dupont and Davidoff of Geneva USA announced that they will enter into an exclusive distribution agreement in the US as of January 1st, 2016.
This strategic agreement further consolidates the already close relationship between the two companies, as S.T.Dupont manufactures a number of Davidoff lighters in France while Davidoff of Geneva operates as the S.T.Dupont distributor in the Swiss market, its home country, as well as carrying the S.T.Dupont brand in its flagship stores in the US and elsewhere.
For Alain Crevet, President of S.T.Dupont, the main objectives of this partnership are to strongly accelerate its expansion in the USA by further strengthening its position with cigar accessories such as lighters and others.
Davidoff believes that the addition of S.T.Dupont will serve to reinforce its goal to be the ‘indispensable business partner’ to its retail partners, including its network of
Appointed Merchants. Jim Young, President of Davidoff of Geneva USA, commented, “This is a great fit, both for the brand line up as well as a great fit culturally between our two companies.”
Lotus International will remain S.T. Duponts after-sales-service center for the US.
