Quesada Cigars is releasing a new line of cigars at the 2018 IPCPR convention in Las Vegas. Vega Magna is described as a bold cigar created with Dominican ligeros, visos and secos finished with a fine sun-grown Ecuadorian wrapper.
Vega Magna is the culmination of 2 years of work. Smoking panels were assembled in the United States, Dominican Republic and Spain to ensure a wide range of opinions and tastes were considered. Miguel “Miguelin” Núñez, Production Manager at Quesada Cigars and a well-known Tobacco Farmer of more than 40 years, worked closely with the Quesada Cigars team to incorporate some very special tobaccos to this great project. “Throughout his many years of work in this trade, using techniques from different generations, he has mastered the art of tobacco allowing him to create this unique blend.”, shared Fruela Roces, CEO of Quesada Cigars.
President of Quesada Cigars and family patriarch Manuel Quesada said of Vega Magna, “The use of Dominican Tercio-aged tobaccos from as early as 2001, sorted and fermented with the extreme care, makes this blend extremely unique. The tercio aging, over long periods of time brings out wonderful complexity, that helps create a sweet, rich full-bodied blend with notes of cocoa, dried fruits and cedar.”
The Vega Magna will be available in three vitolas; Robusto (5.5” x 54), Belicoso (7” x 52) and Toro (6” x 50) packed in boxes of ten cigars. Each Vega Magna box will feature a unique and collectable illustration made by Dominican artist Pragmy Marichal. The Vega Magna will be made regularly, but in limited quantities by one team of rollers at the family’s factory in the Dominican Republic and will begin shipping to US retailers in the fall.
