Providing refuge from the busy streets of Bangkok, Thailand, Moat Cigar Club, the first lounge from Cigar Emperor’s Matthew Nekvapil, is positioned as a members-only club. A member’s recommendation is required to join, and fingerprint access restricts non-members.
Along with an extensive selection of cigars from a plethora of brands, the members-only club boasts the most comfortable chairs of all time. “Modern and sophisticated was a central theme as to how the club came about,” explains Matthew. “Instead of boring, soul-sapping brown leather, Moat Club’s chairs and lounges have been wrapped in jade green leather, while additional downward degree angles deliver less back pressure to be able to enjoy cigars in total comfort.” Having been to many cigar lounges all over the world, comfortable chairs was one element Matthew wanted to perfect. “One can sit for hours in these chairs and not have a backache while enjoying a cigar.”
The club also features a jade green, leather barber chair where members can have a haircut while enjoying a cigar, while Moat Club’s private “money room” can be booked by members.
