Mi Vieja (My Mom)

Tabacalera Díaz Cabrera, represented by its International Sales Manager Emmanuel Díaz, unveiled at Intertabac 2026 its new regular production line: "Mi Vieja". With this new cigar, Master Blender Eladio Díaz pays tribute to his mother, María Santiago—the person who first took him to a cigar factory. "Mi Vieja" (slang for "my mom") is available in three formats: "El Ejido," a 120 mm x 43 (4 ¾ x 43) Petit Corona named after the Santiago de los Caballeros neighborhood where the Díaz family lived during Eladio’s childhood; "ENB," a 127 mm x 50 (5 x 50) Robusto named after Ensanche Bermúdez, the location of the La Diana cigar factory; and "M. Santiago," a 152 mm x 52 (6 x 52) Toro named after his mother.

For the blend, Eladio Díaz uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, a Dominican Corojo binder, and four filler tobaccos: Havana 2000 (aged in bourbon casks), Criollo ’98, and Dominican Piloto Cubano (sourced from both the south and north of the country), combined with a Peruvian Pelo de Oro leaf. All formats feature a “closed foot” and are sold in 20-count boxes; they will begin arriving in international markets this November.

"Mi Vieja" marks Tabacalera Díaz Cabrera’s third regular production line, following "Before and After" and "La Diana," in addition to Eladio Díaz’s anniversary limited editions, which generate increasing anticipation. In fact, the blend for the 74th-anniversary edition—celebrating next year—is already prepared. Named "Aroma Gris," it will be produced in a Toro format, though every box will also include a Salomon-sized cigar featuring the same blend.
