Due to the worldwide Covid 19 pandemic, InterTabac 2020 will not take place this year (in the usual form). The organizers are working on an alternative format. Further details will be presented shortly. The development of the Covid 19 pandemic and the possible effects on the health of exhibitors and visitors were decisive for the decision; global travel restrictions also contributed to this.
A short-term exhibitor survey had shown that the majority of the participants were sceptic about the realization of the InterTabac in its current form in September due to the low willingness and possibility of international visitors to travel. Against the background of this industry feedback, the implementation of InterTabac was neither reasonable for the organizer Messe Dortmund, nor for the exhibitors and participants.
In the future, the fair will take place from Thursday to Saturday instead of Friday to Sunday. The dates of the InterTabac 2021 are therefore 16 to 18 September.
