Eiroa Classic Prensado is Cigar Journal’s Cigar of the Year 2015

cigar-journal-top-25-2015-cigar-of-the-yearTasting notes: Espresso and woody aromas, in addition, gingerbread and a gingery spiciness come through in the creamy smoke. Then, also chocolate and roasted aromas. An excellently manufactured, harmonious cigar. Medium-bodied.

Not even having reached his mid-forties, Christian Luis Eiroa has a long family tradition in the cigar business – in 2016 it will be 100 years. In 1995, his family purchased the brand Camacho; in the year 2000, Christian launched the legendary Camacho Corojo. In 2008, he sold the Camacho brand to Oettinger Davidoff, where he continued to work until 2011. In the year 2012, Christian L. Eiroa founded the CLE Cigar Company and, one year later, the Tabacalera Aladino in Danlí, Honduras. In 2015, he undertook his first endeavor to also establish his new brands across the globe. Our cigar of the year is a classic, box-pressed Corona, which impresses even the most fastidious palate.
