Tasting notes: At first, a peppery spice with leather and cedar aromas, underscored by a delicate salty note. The luscious smoke volume develops a fine fruity sweetness; chocolate, caramel. Medium.
The My Father line Don Pepín García Black Label (known as Cuban Classic in the USA) is the first blend from Pepín that was produced in the then newly opened Tabacalera Cubana in Estelí, Nicaragua. To honor his having received the Lifetime Achievement award we took another look at this milestone from the career of this industry great and were utterly impressed by its consistent fantastic quality, abundance of smoke, and complexity.
