Cigar Smoking World Championship 2022 Grand Finale

The Cigar Smoking World Championship (CSWC) Grand Finale 2022 weekend powered by Rocky Patel will be held from September 2nd to September 4th, with the world champion competition taking place on September 3rd at 5pm CEST.

The CSWC has been bringing competition excitement to the global cigar community for 12 years. The CSWC season 2022 was the largest ever, and it is still ongoing, with a few more qualification events scheduled. This season features 70+ competitions (pre-qualification tournaments, national tournaments, and time chase tournaments) in more than 35 countries worldwide. The United States has the most prequalification events (20), followed by the United Kingdom (7), Italy (4), the Dominican Republic (3), Venezuela (3), and Slovakia (2 tournaments). The countries on the list then competed in their respective national finals. Other countries only have one national big final. The CSWC season 2022 counted around 3000 participants from all over the world. The best of them will travel to Split, Croatia, for the Grand Finale in September, where they will put their skills to the test at the 12th Cigar Smoking World Championship.

With these figures, the CSWC became one of the largest cigar events globally, with the greatest number of cigar clubs and cigar club community members participating in a single cigar event concept. This year’s festival will be attended by Rocky Patel himself, Pierre Jourdan from Les Fines Lames and other names from cigar industry.

CSWC Season 2022 Summary

The biggest surprise of the season was undoubtedly Drew Emch from the United States, who recorded the best time of the season – 3:19:24. Hauke Walter from Germany, the 2018 world champion, came very close to matching his time, falling behind by only 22 seconds. Henrik Kristensson from Sweden, the current world champion, is also very motivated to win the Grand Final in Split; his best time of season was 2:50:55. Every other national champion and competitor is extremely motivated. Overall, we anticipate a thrilling Grand Finale!
