Philip G. Wynne

Philip G. Wynne is a cigar entrepreneur, tobacco grower and writer with more than 35 years of experience growing tobacco and creating premium cigars. Founder of Felipe Gregorio Cigars, he is known for distinctive blends including Petrus, Felipe Gregorio and Pelo de Oro.

His career has taken him through many of the world’s important tobacco regions, including Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic, where he has worked closely with growers, master blenders and cigar makers. Throughout his career, Wynne has earned a reputation as a cigar innovator, with a particular interest in rediscovering exceptional leaf tobaccos, reviving traditional varieties and developing distinctive new blends.

In addition to his work as a cigar maker and tobacco specialist, Wynne writes on leaf tobacco, cigars and the international cigar industry, drawing on more than three decades of firsthand experience in cultivation, fermentation, blending, manufacturing and international markets.
