25 Years Jubilee of Bock Y Ca

Brand ambassador Felix Wallenhorst of Villiger reports 3 new lines they present this year.

In celebrating the 25th anniversary of Gustav Bock, Villiger honors the Cuban roots of this brand. Gustav Bock was the creator of the first cigar rings (anilas) and therefore they researched the archives and are using the eagle prominently on this cigar. The very limited edition is only available in 250 boxes of 25 cigars and as used to be in Cuba without cellophane. The very reasonable price is € 25 per stick.

Even the taste profile is acknowledging the Cuban roots.

In addition to the existing 1888 Nicaragua line a new vitola is added. The Grand Churchill comes in a polished box finishing of 10 cigars.

Last but not least the last year release of the 1492 Discovery comes in 2024 with a Robusto vitola. Rolled in La Palma factory.

Peter’s love of cigars began in 2001, and since then his interest has continued to grow. Multiple trips to Nicaragua, Cuba and the Dominican Republic as well as attending numerous cigar festivals have increasingly fueled this passion. He finds being a member of the Cigar Journal blind tasting panel a great honor and pleasure. This all led to the opportunity to become an author on the Cigar Journal team.
