Tabaquero by Hamlet Paredes Toro Named No.23 of Cigar Journal’s Top 25 of 2016

cj_top25_badge_2016_no23As the name suggests, Hamlet Paredes was responsible for Rocky Patel’s Tabaquero by Hamlet Paredes line, which debuted in the US in mid-2016. Hamlet is a Cuban cigar roller who settled in the US in 2015, and for this Cigar Trophy-nominated line’s tobacco blend he chose a Mexican wrapper, a double binder of Mexico San Andrés and Brazilian Arapiraca tobaccos, and Nicaraguan filler. The line is rolled at Rocky Patel’s TAVICUSA factory in Nicaragua and has been available in Europe since early 2016.

Tasting notes: A soft creaminess, coffee aromas and a caramel sweetness define the first few draws. Later on, aromas of spice and wood and pinch of pepper are added. Medium-bodied.
