Nicaraguan Cigar Festival Puro Sabor 2018

Puro Sabor 2018: Nicaraguan Cigar Festival to be Held From Jan 22-27

Mark the dates in your calendar: The 7th annual Nicaraguan Cigar Festival “Puro Sabor” will be held from January 22nd to 27th, 2018. Guests of the festival will visit factories and fields of some of the world’s most respected cigar manufacturers, be able to participate in workshops and tastings and experience Nicaragua’s rich culture and natural beauty.

Granada, one of Nicaragua’s main cities, will be the first stop on the 7th Puro Sabor Cigar Festival to be held on January 22-27, 2018, allowing participants to take in the natural beauty such as the city’s islets and its historical and architectural charm.

For the second year running, those attending the festival will visit the colonial city of Granada, which was founded in 1527 and has been proposed as a World Heritage site. The elegance of its buildings, streets and museums combines with the modern touch of its restaurants and hotels to provide a unique cultural ambience.

The festival organizers decided to extend the stay in Granada for two days and the participants will have the option to tour the group of over 300 islets produced by explosions from Mombacho Volcano. These islands form a natural refuge that can be explored by kayak and offer a peaceful place to rest and relax. Those attending the festival can also opt for a day at the beach where they can enjoy the beauty and waves of the Pacific Ocean.

The Puro Sabor Festival is organized by the Nicaraguan Tobacco Chamber (CNT) to celebrate the international recognition of the tobacco grown and cigars manufactured in Nicaragua. It also provides participants with an opportunity to learn more about the host country.

“The festival has become a way of presenting our wealth of culture, history and traditions,” explained CNT president Anielka Ortez. “We want our friends and clients to enjoy and learn more about our country and to let themselves be seduced by Nicaragua’s natural charms.”

On the third day, the festival will move on to the city of EstelĂ, where those attending will have the chance to savor choice cigars on the farms and in the factories where they are produced. They will also enjoy gala dinners, cultural events and panel discussions of interest to those who want to learn more about cigar production in Nicaragua.
