Spring 2012
There are only few passionados in the USA that are not familiar with the creations of Alan Rubins. When this American founded Alec Bradley in the mid-1990s, his aim was to start a business close to his heart. We met the driving forces behind the brand, and soon discovered that the motto “Live true” is an unwavering element of their daily work.
From Flanders, via Basel and Hessen, to Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia: For the stories in the Spring 2012 edition, we sought out lounges around the world and plunged into the cigar scene of a number of regions and countries. Alongside actual journeys, an Austrian cigar connoisseur took us on a journey through time – we were privileged to be present at the opening of a still-sealed box of Sol cigars, which were also allowed to taste. In addition, expert Marc André’s Humidor Corner looked at different humidor designs.
