La Regenta, a century-old cigar factory established in the Canary Islands, Spain, presents their new limited edition at the Intertabac’24 show: La Regenta Trompeta. It is a figurado cigar, conical in shape, 192 mm long with a 38-ring gauge (in the head) and 52 (in the foot). It is a shape that is rarely used anymore, but it was very traditional. In fact, it was regularly manufactured at La Regenta in the 80s. As every year, the brand has its master blender, Rubén Arteaga, doing an exhibition of the art of rolling cigars. Arteaga, who is the creator of the blend, assures that they have sought for a very balanced cigar, up to medium body, with a colorado wrapper from Ecuador, a Mexican binder and, in the filler, leaves from the Dominican Republic and Cuba. The Regenta Trompetas will be shipped to the markets before the end of the year, in 10-count boxes. The production is limited, but they will be producing the cigar meanwhile they have enough tobacco for the blend, something that, according to Arteaga, will yield about 25,000 cigars in total.
