Joya de Nicaragua Unveils Two Limited Editions at InterTabac

Christian Lanzas presented two limited editions at the Joya de Nicaragua stand, both built on tobacco the Nicaraguan house has been holding back.

Clásico Original Green Room Limited Edition

The first is a tribute to the Green Room of the White House, where diplomats smoked in the 1970s — and, Lanzas explained, to everyone's own green room since, whether that is at home, in a shop or in a lounge. The blend is the same as the standard Clásico, with the tobacco given at least six months' further ageing. The box follows the original, with the story of the Green Room and its diplomats told on the lid. It comes in 20-count boxes, limited to 1,500 boxes, and is already available in selected markets including the United States and Europe, with distribution now widening.

Cuatro Cinco Secret Cask

The second returns to the blend of the original Cuatro Cinco of 2013, drawn from tobaccos kept in a single cask ever since — the regular production version has since been blended differently. It is presented in 10-count boxes, again limited to 1,500. The band drops the gold of the regular line for the colours of rum, with wood grain running along the edges and circular graphics echoing the roundness of the barrels. The box carries a compartment displaying the aged tobacco, which can be lifted out and smelled.
