International Women’s Day on 8 March is all about collective action and shared ownership for driving gender parity. Cigar brand owner Maya Selva will be celebrating the day with events in Hong Kong, Paris, and Tegucigalpa on 8 March.
Joining a global celebration that highlights the achievement of women in the social, cultural, economic and political arenas is of great importance to Maya Selva. “As the only cigar company created by a woman, we are very excited to celebrate such an occasion with extraordinary cigars. The events will serve as an opportunity for aficionadas, friends and newcomers to the cigar worldwide to join together and share a cigar.”
“This is a great opportunity for women to enjoy but also to discover cigars in a female-friendly environment. The celebration is particularly important for women have been curious about cigars, but who have felt intimidated by what is often a male-dominated ambiance. For newcomers we have prepared a beginner’s introduction,” said Selva.
The events will feature the Flor de Selva Robusto Natural and Robusto Maduro.
Flor de Selva’s Hong Kong distributor Cigraal will host the first event in Hong Kong on 8 March.
“We look forward to welcoming ladies for a cigar knowledge session and then a privileged moment where they will enjoy Flor de Selva,” said Eric Piras. “We’ll open doors to gentlemen around the middle of the evening.”
Attention will then turn to Paris and finally, Tegucigalpa the capital of Honduras.
