Fine Cigars and Luxury Cars: The Smoke Show in Canada’s Niagara Region

In late August 2026, Palatine Hills Estates Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Canada, opened its gates to the local cigar community for the third annual Smoke Show. The event drew cigar enthusiasts from across the region and beyond, many arriving in an assortment of polished luxury cars that added additional spectacle to the picturesque vineyard setting.

The Smoke Show is organized each year by local tobacconist Havana Castle St. Catharines, operated by Tamila and Levan Darsalia alongside their daughters, Sopiko and Salomé. The Darsalias expanded their tobacco business this past year with the opening of The Golden Ash in Niagara Falls, a tobacconist location featuring an expansive hidden humidor that is playfully concealed behind what appears to be an otherwise ordinary section of wall.

For those in attendance, the evening offered plenty to explore, including cigars by Perdomo, Esteban Carreras, Oscar Valladares and Guillen & Co. Guests enjoyed a hearty dinner, a selection of wines and ciders produced at Palatine Hills, Bank Vodka, along with Campfire Oscuro, a limited-edition Canadian whisky created specifically to complement a fine cigar.

As the sun settled behind the surrounding vineyards and the event drew to a close, conversations gave way to the sound of departing engines, signaling yet another successful Smoke Show in Niagara.
