Frankfurt will become the center of the international cigar world this May as Drew Estate and GRE Trade GmbH present the “Blackened Experience Frankfurt 2026” on May 23, 2026. Taking place from 8:00 PM to midnight at the Ocean Club at Gateway Gardens in Frankfurt, Germany, the event also marks the official German market launch of the “Blackened by Drew Estate” cigar line.
Around 250 guests from across the premium cigar and lifestyle industries are expected to attend, including consumers, retailers, media representatives, and international guests. Earlier that day, a separate pre-event for registered cigar retailers will offer networking opportunities and direct exchange with the Drew Estate team.
One of the evening’s highlights will be the attendance of Glenn Wolfson, CEO of Drew Estate, alongside members of the company’s leadership team. The Blackened cigar project was created through the collaboration of Metallica frontman James Hetfield, Jonathan Drew of Drew Estate, and whiskey expert Rob Dietrich, combining the worlds of premium cigars, whiskey, and music into a unique lifestyle experience.
Guests can expect a deliberately unconventional event atmosphere featuring live entertainment, curated tastings, finger food, welcome drinks, and interactive experience stations. At the center of the evening will be the Blackened cigar portfolio from Drew Estate, especially the bold M81 line and the Connecticut-based S84 series, both of which have already generated significant international attention.
With the “Blackened Experience Frankfurt 2026,” Drew Estate and GRE Trade aim to bring a new level of energy and lifestyle-driven presentation to the German premium cigar market while redefining what a modern cigar event can be.
