About Asley L. Marmol
Asley L. Marmol is celebrated as a poet, novelist and editor. He has published the poetry collections El Cuerpo vivo (The Living Body, 1996, in Spanish), The Splendor (2019, bilingual edition), The Reflection (2023, bilingual edition); the book of short stories The Interior of the Mountain (2020, bilingual edition) and the novels Magister Dixit (2009, in Spanish) and The Watchers (2020, in English). He currently resides in Tampa, Florida, Cigar City, and is working on his third novel in Spanish, Poemas de Sangre (Poems of Blood) which takes place in the Ybor City of the early 1900’s to our days, reflecting on the history of the various generations of Cuban and Italian immigrants who founded the first Cigar metropolis in North America.
