Artesano del Tobacco Celebrates Cigar of the Year 2025

Artesano del Tobacco is celebrating a major achievement after its El Pulpo Lancero was named Cigar of the Year 2025 by Cigar Journal.

Speaking at InterTabac 2026, Billy from Artesano del Tobacco thanked the Cigar Journal team for reviewing and recognizing the Lancero, calling the honor a “dream come true.”

He highlighted the significance of a Lancero taking the top spot, noting that Cigar of the Year honors often larger formats such as Robustos, Toros or Torpedos. According to Billy, the recognition could also signal growing consumer interest in cigars with smaller ring gauges.

“We are so happy because it’s a Lancero,” he said, adding that the format offers smokers an opportunity to experience the very best expression of a cigar blend.
