X at One Ocean Appoints Belkys Sanchez as Senior VP & GM

X at One Ocean, the private cigar club located in the heart of Miami Beach’s South of Fifth neighborhood, is pleased to announce the appointment of Belkys Sanchez as Senior Vice President & Managing Director.

A respected leader in the premium cigar and luxury industries, Sanchez brings a track record of executive leadership, brand development, member engagement, and hospitality. Her career spans some of the most prestigious names in premium cigars.

In her new role, Sanchez will oversee all facets of club operations, including member services, hospitality standards, team development, programming, events, and strategic growth initiatives. She will serve as the primary liaison between the club and its members and will play a pivotal role in shaping the culture, service philosophy, and personalized member experience.

“Belkys embodies the very essence of what we envisioned for this leadership role,” said Sanford Nelson, Co-Founder of X at One Ocean. “Her knowledge of premium cigars is extraordinary, but what truly sets her apart is her ability to connect with people. Great private clubs are built on relationships, hospitality, and a genuine sense of belonging. Belkys possesses a rare gift for creating meaningful experiences, and her leadership will help establish a culture that is sophisticated, welcoming, and truly world-class.”

“I am deeply honored to join X at One Ocean during such an exciting chapter in its evolution,” said Belkys Sanchez. “This club represents something truly extraordinary – not only because of its connection to one of the most revered names in premium cigars, but because of its unwavering commitment to excellence, hospitality, and community. My mission is simple: to ensure every member feels welcomed, appreciated, and inspired each time they visit. Together, we will create unforgettable experiences that reflect the prestige, authenticity, and legacy of the X brand.”

The announcement has also been welcomed by cigar industry icon Carlito Fuente, creator of the Fuente OpusX brand.

“I have known Belkys for many years and witnessed firsthand the respect and trust she has earned throughout our industry,” said Carlito Fuente. “She leads with integrity and a sincere love for people – qualities that cannot be taught. I am delighted by her decision to lead X at One Ocean. She is perfectly suited to uphold the values of hospitality and excellence that have always defined the Fuente legacy.”

Co-Founder Linden Nelson added: “From the beginning, our vision for X at One Ocean has been to create more than a lounge – we sought to create a destination where members feel genuinely valued and understood. Belkys brings the professionalism, operational excellence, and personal touch necessary to transform that vision into reality. We are thrilled to welcome her to the leadership team as we continue building something truly exceptional.”
