Malaysia’s Trinidad Cigar Company brings the Cigar Smoking World Championship (CSWC) Kuala Lumpur qualification event to Chime, Sheraton Petaling Jaya, on Saturday 15 August. The Malaysian qualifying event will be the first live qualifying event since March. Due to travel restrictions founder Marko Bilic is unable to attend, however Samuel Spurr, Cigar Journal’s Asia-Pacific Editor will host and judge the competition.
“It is fantastic that Kuala Lumpur can host the first live qualifying event since March this year and this shows how the event inspires people to participate. I would love to be there, but will be watching online and saying hello,” said Marko Bilic. “It will be great to get Malaysian’s feedback on the Rocky Patel competition cigar.”
“It is an honour to once again bring the Cigar Smoking World Championship to Kuala Lumpur,” said Dato’ Indera Naresh Mohan, CEO of Malaysian cigar distributor and retailer Trinidad Cigar Company. “There are tremendous prizes up for grabs and the event is a celebration of cigar culture. It is a great spectacle, so I invite those who are not participating to come and watch the event.”
Malt whisky enthusiasts can discover The Balvenie range through tasting sessions from whisky partner William Grant & Sons who will be conducting a tasting of The Balvenie 12YO DoubleWood, The Balvenie 14YO Caribbean Cask, and The Balvenie 17DoubleWood for entrants and spectators throughout the event.
