Kind Cigars 5th Anniversary

Sweden’s Kind Cigars Celebrates 5th Anniversary

Swedish distributor, importer and cigar shop Kind Cigars pulled out all the punches celebrating its five years in business. The celebration took place on May 6 in Helsingborg in southern Sweden and no less than 300 people turned up from all corners of the country to smoke, party and wish founder Martin Brix Nelson and his company a Happy Birthday.

“We expected 100 guests at the most and 300 showed up,” Brix Nelson says. “We even had to say no to about 50. It was the biggest cigar gathering in Swedish history and it only proves, once more, the love that we all feel for cigars and for each other in this business. It also emphasizes the importance of Cigar Rights of Europe (CRE) and the need to get together and stand up for our rights, in this day and age.”

Private label champagne was served, international cigar producers were present and cigar brands from the whole cigar producing world was represented for the guests to enjoy. “It was an amazing turnout and a great party,” Brix Nelson concludes.

Since graduating with an engineering degree in surveying in 2005, Simon Lundh has preferred to follow a profession in journalism. He stumbled upon the cigar world while working for a non-governmental organization in Estelí, Nicaragua, and is now mainly making a living writing about cigars, metal music, tattoos, and travel.
